What would you do...

Please excuse the harshness of my next few statements.

What would you do if you found out someone had hurt your child? What would you do if Heaven forbid, someone killed your child? We sadly read about horrible instances on the news of children being hurt or worse killed and parents doing everything in their power to get answers and justice for their children- as they should. Everyone rallies around the parents and demand answers. Demands change.

That is what I deal with every single day. Because cancer took our daughter away from us.

Did you know that September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month? Did you know that out of all cancer research....our kids only get 4% of that total amount?

And Neuroblastoma specifically....out of that 4%....we only get 6%.

I'm going to be honest. I was not as on top of my game as I was last year for things planned for this month. I also was very fortunate for quite a few small companies offering to hold fundraisers on their own in memory of our daughter. Life happened these past few months and it was difficult.

But I have to keep fighting for my daughter, we will keep fighting for her. Because if we don't, then who will? She is worth more than a measly 4%. The hundreds of kids who are diagnosed with cancer every. single. day. are worth more than 4%.

But we can't do this alone. We need help to make a change. If you feel inclined to help and make a difference, I am here and willing to accept help. Parenting is hard. Parenting for a child who is no longer here is even harder some days. But together it can be a little easier and things can change.
